Holly Powell
Holly has been educated in one of Charleston's foremost Cosmetology Schools. She then worked and studied under a nationally known effigy. Holly is an established artist in earlier years, which has influenced her techniques of color and sculpting. With her natural talent and a strong background in art, Holly has an incredible passion for her craft. She has 14 years in the beauty industry but still considers herself a student by always going the extra mile for her clients, bringing to them the most cutting edge ingredient to be current and progressive. Holly, has extensive training and certification with one of the most leading hair extension companies and also has a passion for eyelash extensions. There seem to be no limits to what might strike her interest. After years of dedication and devotion to her heartfelt dream, she is finally able to display her artistic talent in her own hair salon, which is second to none.
Chelsea Moser
Chelsea has been a stylist for over 6 years, initially finding her inspiration through her mother at a young age. She specializes in a multitude of areas, most recently becoming an educator for Schwarzkopf, a unique coloring system with a beneficial product line that Paloosh Salon features. Chelsea's certification with Hairlocs hair extensions allows her to provide a fulfilling amount of beauty and satisfaction to her clientèle. Whether a client is thinning, wants more length, or just a difference in hair color, Hairlocs is a reliable, yet "addicting" system. Hair color is where her true passion lies; describing the hair as being the canvas and the color is her interpretation of art. She is also capable of cutting correspondingly allowing her to truly see what is right or wrong for a person. She loves the artistry of makeup and formal design, which has opened many doors allowing Chelsea to start doing professional photo shoots for makeup and hair. She dreams to someday be a platform artist but at the moment is enjoying all the opportunities this industry has let her experience.
Wendy Mayberry
Wendy is the newest addition to Paloosh Salon, as the Salon Coordinator. She is a Charleston native but gained her management skills as Assistant Manager for Vis-a'-Vis The Salon in Atlanta, Georgia. Getting back to her roots, she relocated back to the low country to take a job with Stella Nova in 2008. With a strong appreciation for the industry, Wendy actively updates herself on product knowledge making her divine at recommending products that best suit clients' needs. With over four year's experience, she has come to understand the importance of giving clients the personal attention they deserve at Paloosh Salon. Wendy is also the wedding consultant, working one on one with brides to insure their total confidence whether it's an "in salon" day, or on location event.
Tara Smith
Tara is from Columbus, Ohio but since moving to Charleston 2 years ago, she has fallen in love with the low country. She attended The Aveda Institute of Columbus for cosmetology and graduated at the top of her class. Since graduating over three years ago, she has had a tremendous amount of experience and advanced training that have quickly catapulted her to an amazing stylist at a young age. She enjoys hair sculpting and hair coloring based on each clients specific needs and wants, therefore making her a well rounded stylist with the ability to do whatever her clients' may desire. Excelling in formal hair styling and makeup artistry, Tara is the perfect pick for a special event or a night on the town! She is also a specialist with our Keratin Smoothing Treatment.
Kacy Stroble
Kacy is originally from Charleston and has been actively doing hair since 2003. She has a passion for multi-dimensional color and special affect high-lights. Precision sculpting and distinguished styles are her specialty. Looking forward to new challenges, Kacy loves staying newly educated to maintain her cutting edge techniques and has had extended education in all hair types. She enjoys giving a professional opinion to enhance a look or give clients the specific style they are looking for. Her newest endeavor is certification with Hairlocs hair extensions, which Kacy has had a long standing enchantment with. Using the Hairlocs system she can give her clients more length, more enhancement and better quality hair with a unique application system without glue, heat, sewing or braiding.
Star Gastringer
Star comes to us from Boston, Massachusetts. Since joining Paloosh Salon’ in August 2009, she has become known for her relaxing head massages and outgoing personality. After spending two years in Boston training at the Ailano School of Cosmetology, she relocated to Charleston to pursue her life-long dream of becoming a renowned stylist. Her pleasant demeanor and eagerness to learn is a valuable asset to the salon. Star has been training with the owner and master stylist of Paloosh salon as well as attending advanced classes to learn current trends and cutting edge coloring techniques. In addition, she is actively studying the Schwartzkopf color line to become a master colorist. Through her artistic creativity and passion for the industry. Star believes that the best accomplishment is making people look and feel their best.
Sally Kent
Sally is one of the newest members of Paloosh Salon`. She comes to us from Trident Technical College and is currently enrolled in their Cosmetology courses located in Summerville at night. Sally’s peaceful attitude and joyful spirit bring a smile to all her clients and a majority of everyone else’s too. Sally pays extra attention to detail whether it’s doing a set of acrylic nails, a French tip on your toes or beautiful eye lash extensions. In just the few short weeks Sally has been here, she has earned a reputation for an amazing massage on her client’s while they enjoy a manicure or pedicure. Sally is a very focused and dedicated member of Paloosh Salon` and looks to further her career once she graduates Cosmetology school by also becoming a stylist. Her passion lies in eye lash extensions, manicures, pedicures, make up application and is growing in color and hair shaping.
